We offer the following Courses:
CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace (American
Safety & Health Institute)
Who: This class is for persons who do not work in the health
care field but are occupationally required or wish to have CPR
knowledge and skills. This includes emergency response
teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult
residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers,
parents, coaches, camp counselors, foster care workers, and
babysitters.
Where: This course can be scheduled at our Woodbridge
location or brought to your place of business.
About the Course: Course includes some video and power
point presentations, but the emphasis is on the practical skills
and hands-on training. Casual dress that allows freedom of
movement – bending, kneeling, sitting, or standing – is
recommended. Students receive an electronic Student
Handbook upon completion as recommended by American
safety and Health Institute. Certification takes place upon
successful completion of skills. A written exam may be
required by some employers whose participants have a duty to
respond. Ask your employer if you need a written test.
Certification period is 2 years.
Typical Course Time: Course time varies depending on
experience level and class size. It may take 2-2.5 hours for
complete course that includes all ages and AED operation.
Renewals may take less than half the normal course time.
Combination CPR/AED & First Aid Courses:
CPR (all ages) + First Aid (all ages): 3.5 hours
CPR (adult/child) + First Aid (adult): 3-3.5 hours
CPR (child/infant) + First Aid: 3-3.5 hours
CPR courses may be tailored to suit student-specific needs:
Adult/Child plus AED, Child/Infant plus AED, or all ages CPR
with AED etc.
